Description

Traditionally, concentrations and meditations have been intermeshed with a particular religion(s) or form(s) of spirituality.
A concentration has traditionally been used as a form of focus in order to clear the mind. This is normally done before approaching a problem needing serious thought or action.
A meditation, being a form of concentration, is used mainly to obtain a balanced state of mind for relaxation. Usually to try and achieve a centered or balanced state of mind in a person.
By removing the religious teachings and other traditional aspects from the different forms of concentrations and meditations, a bare-bones non-biased/non-prejudiced procedures for a form of communication with the spirit and higher levels of consciousness can be achieved. This communication can be utilized for obtaining different types of information for inter development, material information and guidance in a person’s life. This material information and/or guidance come in the form of intuitive-like impressions or vision-like viewings.
My understanding of the traditional use of concentrations/mediations is that the religious and/or spirituality information tends to interfere and limit the potential of most concentrations and meditations (through the bias and prejudices of their beliefs). Also, the spirit is attached to the sub conscious and can, through the use of higher levels of consciousness, become a source in order to obtain inner development, material information and guidance.
In my short publication, the concentrations are used for developing the ability to focus on a single thing; an idea, object, sound, etc.… This is done to help occupy or slightly subdue the objective consciousness. Once a concentration is able to be held for several minutes at a time, then a good mediation can be achieved. So, the primary purpose of the concentrations is to be able to meditate better.
The meditation techniques are used to obtain information from the higher consciousness/spirit interaction through determining primary and secondary goals before the meditation. The primary and/or secondary goals sometimes will not be responded to during the mediation, but may take a day or two later for a response. However, since our spirit is not under the control of our free will, some silly or inappropriate questions will properly not receive a response.
Finally, these selected forms of concentrations and meditations require a bit of practice to become effective. So do not become discouraged by not having immediate success, besides this is something that the higher consciousness/spirit has not been trained to do.
